Inspired by our beloved pet lizards, Lucky Lizard Curios & Gifts was established in 2005 as a little brick-and-mortar mom-n’-pop gift store in downtown Austin, Texas, and has since grown to become one of the largest retailers of “Keep Austin Weird” merchandise.
Soon after opening in the heart of the Sixth Street entertainment district, Lucky Lizard became home to “America’s Strangest Attraction,” the world-famous Museum of the Weird, which has been located in the back of the gift shop ever since, drawing tens of thousands of visitors each year.
Many of the items in Lucky Lizard Curios & Gifts are handmade locally by some of the most talented artists the area has to offer. We also carry a wide variety of unique toys, games, t-shirts and goods ranging from the humorous to the bizarre.
